Is your electricity connection still right for your business?

Businesses change over time. If you've expanded, downsized, changed equipment, or your operating hours have shifted, it may be worth checking whether your electricity connection still meets your needs.

Check your capacity

Your electricity connection is sized to meet your maximum demand. If it's too small, it could limit future growth. If it's larger than you need, there may be opportunities to reduce costs.

Review your electricity plan

Businesses can benefit from periodically checking that they're on the most suitable electricity plan. Your retailer can explain the options available and whether another plan may better suit your energy usage patterns, or it could be worth putting some time aside to call around and quotes from different retailers.

Reduce energy waste

Simple improvements can lower energy costs:

Upgrade to LED lighting
Install timers, sensors or smart controls
Maintain heating and cooling systems
Turn off equipment when not in use
Identify equipment that consumes large amounts of electricity
